September, 2026

I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to steward the Brent Reese Family Foundation. What began with a desire to give back has grown into something that means a great deal to me personally. I’m also incredibly grateful for the guidance, perspective, and support of our Advisory Committee, whose commitment and thoughtful counsel continue to strengthen the work we do. Being able to support organizations doing meaningful work- and to see the difference that work makes in people’s lives, is both a privilege and one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

In 2025, the Foundation awarded $216,172 in grants, a 68.6% increase over the prior year, while total assets grew to $1.93 million, an increase of 71.3%. I’m proud of that growth, not simply because of the numbers, but because growth gives us the opportunity to do more to strengthen our partnerships, expand our reach, and put more resources behind organizations creating real change.

As we grow, I believe we also have a responsibility to be careful stewards of the Foundation’s resources. In 2025, general and administrative expenses equaled just 9.8 cents for every dollar granted. The Foundation has no employees and pays no salaries; our expenses are limited to the operational costs necessary to effectively manage and oversee our charitable activities.

I’m especially proud of the organizations support. Behind every grant are people committed to helping others, strengthening their communities, and tackling difficult problems with compassion and determination. We value those relationships and view our grants not simply as financial support, but as investments in people and the work they believe in. A complete list of grants awarded during the year can be found on our Grants Awarded page.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to growing the Foundation’s impact while staying true to the values that guide everything we do: Purpose, Action, Opportunity, and Love. We will continue seeking thoughtful, effective, and sustainable ways to strengthen communities, expand opportunity, and improve lives.

As our resources grow, so does our responsibility. That is something I take personally. We will continue to be thoughtful about where we can make a difference, disciplined in how we use our resources, and committed to supporting organizations doing work that can create meaningful and lasting change for generations to come.
